A qualified interior designer, Sharon works out of a converted horse box in the Herefordshire hills.
Reimagining unloved furniture and creating pieces that will sit harmoniously alongside your existing style, whether traditional or contemporary. This becomes the perfect way of reintroducing beautifully crafted furniture back into people’s homes and avoiding landfill.
Adding texture and patina, Sharon is influenced by pattern and design from by gone eras, from medieval frescos, to geometric mid century, but is super passionate about all things Folk art, primitive American Folk art in particular.
Working with Annie Sloan paint and often, textural powders, waxes and glazes, the end results are layers of pure passion.
Sharon’s commitment to creating authentic looking designs on unloved furniture, underpins Audrey and Abode.
Audrey was her beloved grandmother, who was the original crafter and up cycling queen. Sharon carries her in her heart and in her name also. “Sharon Audrey Ingoldby”
